Philippines
Sabre Philippines has an aggressive approach to tap talent to join our growing operations
by partnering with top universities in Manila and engaging the pool of graduating
students. Our program has two facets: campus recruitment and internship program.
Our campus recruitment program involves participating in and sponsoring activities
including job fairs and career seminars at local university campuses. The internship
program provides students the opportunity to perform on the job training with Sabre
based on their university’s curriculum requirements. Students can be considered
for full time positions at the conclusion of the intern program. Sabre Philippines
launched its first intern program in May 2010 with 10 interns. The interns received
on the job training in Java, Agile, Spring, Test Driven Development and Object Oriented
Programming.

Brazil
At Sabre Brazil, our internship program is designed for students who seek knowledge,
professional development, and a real experience at work. Students will be able to
learn during their assignments, make a difference in their work group and will be
supported by experienced employees and teams. All of our interns undergo an initial
training period to gain a better understanding of Sabre’s core business. Then, each
intern is assigned to a project team according to their interests and college discipline.
Students can be considered for full time employment at the end of the internship
program.
In Brazil, internships are part-time positions and take place year-round. Start
and end dates are flexible with regard to academic schedules.
EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
I started my tourism career as an intern at Sabre Brazil. During this time, I worked
in two different areas: Training and Customer Service. In both areas I learned so
much. In September 2009, I was hired as a full-time employee as an Account Executive.
I am very pleased to work here and I love the experience!
-Gabriela
I started at Sabre Brazil as Tourism intern for "Portal da Tam" (website support
help desk). After a few months, I was moved to the Customer Services Center working
with contracts. Through this experience, I have had the opportunity to show my skills
and confirm that I am on the right path for my career. Today, I am a full time employee
working as an Account Executive and I am responsible for giving support to customers
and offering configuration assistance.
-Camila
I started at Sabre as an intern for “Portal Tam” in 2008 and from the beginning
I dreamed of becoming an employee. During my internship I also had the opportunity
to work in the Customer Services Center and it was during this period that I discovered
that I wanted to work as an Account Executive. At Sabre, I have the support of great
people who have always helped me in my professional development. I have been working
as an Account Executive for two years and I am proud to say that I am part of this
team.
-Juliana
I started my career at Sabre in 2008 as an intern working at the mysabre hardware
help desk. I learned many things there such as how to behave in a work environment
and also the technical details of my profession. After two years, in October 2010,
I was hired as a full-time employee in the Product Support area and I am enjoying
every second working here.

The Passport Program opened Sabre's doors to me. Thanks to this program I was able
to get started in my professional career. It was an important change in my life
and Sabre gave me the opportunity to learn and acquire more knowledge and experience.
I have never worked in a big company before and it is remarkable the way Sabre welcomed
me to the team. It is like being at home but at the same time working in a very
dynamic way. It’s something difficult to explain but I’m thankful for being part
of this. From the beginning everything was carefully planned and nothing was left
behind. It has been a great experience in my life and I hope it will not be the
only one in Sabre.

During my internship I developed test frameworks in Java for automated execution
and verification of test scenarios written in XML. Every day of my work was an opportunity
to learn something new and was full of challenges which were a chance to improve
my technical skills.

The internship at Sabre Holdings was very exciting and productive time for me and
I hope it continues because I’ve decided to stay here as an employee. It gave me
a chance to improve my technical and business skills, work on real projects and
interact with customers. I was treated like any other team member so I was assigned
responsible tasks that I liked a lot. Internship at Sabre Holdings was very exciting
and productive time for me and I hope it will still be, because I’ve decided to
stay here as an employee.

India
Sabre India recruits students from select colleges to join our campus hire program
in June and July. Our recruiting team presents at the colleges and hires students
based on college discipline (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology/Master
of Computer Application), as well as, current staffing requirements. Upon joining,
all campus students attend a “boot camp” where they are trained on different technical
products – Java, Advanced Java, Unix, etc. In addition to technical training, campus
hires attend an Induction Program and attend training on transitioning from campus
to corporate life. Sabre India also has an internship program and works in conjunction
with BITS Pilani. Each January and July we hire interns into Practice School I/II
so that they can gain invaluable corporate experience working on relevant projects
that relate to their field of study.
